Need for independent regulation identified in Michael report
Talks to appoint a health regulator have resumed after being delayed due to coronavirus.
The Department of Health and Social Care had to put negotiations with the Care Quality Commission on hold during the pandemic.
Independent regulation was one of the recommendations highlighted by Sir Jonathan Michael's review of the Island's healthcare system published last year.
Health minister David Ashford says it's important the health system is accountable:
Sailings cancelled due to predicted gales
Have your say on the future of the Island's plantations
Warning for 'disorderly' parents attending schools
Yellow weather warning for gale force winds
