Police urge motorists to be patient during MGP
Motorists are being urged to be patient and take their time while travelling around the Island while the Snaefell Mountain Course is closed.
Contingency qualifying sessions for the Manx Grand Prix meant roads were closed yesterday afternoon, and are currently shut again until around 4:30pm.
The closures mean roads away from the course are likely to be busier.
PC Louise Kennaugh says there's only so much officers can do to keep traffic moving:
Main road between Peel and Douglas to shut for tree felling
'Targeted and intelligence led approach' to protect Island's borders during Irish sailings
Airport Director role advertised with top salary of £120,000
