Organisers of 'T-Rex Thunder Run' to stage summer event in Peel
Hundreds of people are being invited to dash across Peel promenade later this summer...dressed as dinosaurs.
The organisers of the 'world's largest unofficial T-rex run', which took place on Douglas promenade last year, have announced they're taking the event out west.
So-called 'T-Fest' is the brainchild of Expedition Limitless, which is aiming to raise £200,000 in support of The Children’s Centre and Rebecca House Children’s Hospice.
Last year the group's efforts saw £111,000 donated to Manx Mencap.
Alongside the dino-dash event, there’ll be the Isle of Man Wheelie Championships, food vendors, stalls, games, and a special guest set from 'DJ Trex'.
It will take place on Saturday, 30 August, getting underway at midday.
Entries open Monday (16 June) and details will be posted on the Expedition Limitless social media channels.
The Expedition Limitless team is also seeking sponsors for the event.
Expedition Leader Phil Quirk says: 'This isn’t just a fun run. It’s a movement.
