A decision to suspend any further strike action by Island bus inspectors has been welcomed by the Department of Tourism and Leisure.
The long-running dispute centres around overtime pay and conditions.
The DTL has been responding to comments by negotiating officer for Prospect Union, Angela Moffatt.
She said the action had been suspended because the one day strike held earlier this month had focused both parties in trying to find a solution.
The Department has stressed that irrespective of the one day strike undertaken by the group on April 9, a forum for and a willingness to conduct negotiations to resolve the dispute has always existed.
