A police officer suspended from duty in July has returned to what are termed 'restricted duties' today.
It follows a review of the suspension by Deputy Chief Constable Gary Roberts.
A statement says 'the review has been carried out in line with Isle of Man Constabulary Policy and takes into account the progress of the enquiry and the welfare of the officer concerned.
The restriction on duties will remain in place, subject to regular reviews, until the enquiry is completed. The main restriction will place the officer carrying out administrative tasks rather than having direct contact with the public.
As the initial criminal enquiry is still live, the Isle of Man Constabulary is not in a position to comment further at this stage'.
