Industry remains volatile
The row over low milk prices in the UK is not comparable with the position in the Island.
So says the Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister, Richard Ronan.
Farmers across say a reduction in global demand for milk has led to an over-supply in the UK which has, in turn, depressed prices.
Mr Ronan says that’s not the case here and hopes island residents support local produce in what is a volatile industry:
