Bath and Bottle join forces with Pink Jinn
The Syrian people are paying the price of an intensely political conflict, but aid can alleviate some of their suffering - that's according to an Island-based consultant on the Middle East.
Laura Cretney is the director of Al Ishara Consulting, and is the editor of Pink Jinn, a blog focused on promoting better understanding of the region.
She's joined forces with the Bath and Bottle cocktail bar in Douglas to organise a 'Syrian Supper Club' next week (Thurs 26)
Funds raised at the event will go to the Hands Up Foundation, which provide a prosthetic limb clinic, teams of doctors and nurses, and education for children in the region.
