Hopes for further growth
There's optimism for further growth at the Festival of Motorcycling after the curtain came down on a record breaking year yesterday (Friday).
Despite a slight drop in visitor numbers, the volume of motorcycles brought over in 2017 hit a new high, according to the Steam Packet.
The event's popularity is being picked upon by the international press, with the Daily Telegraph recently calling it 'one of the best biking events on the planet'.
There was also unprecedented success in the racing, with numerous lap and speed records set around the course.
Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly says his Department will 'continue to build' on the growing interest in future.
