Tynwald committee hears evidence from DHSC Interim CEO
The health department's interim CEO says suicide is "a national issue, not a mental health issue."
Angela Murray gave evidence to Tynwald's Social Affairs Policy Review Committee yesterday, as part of its ongoing investigation into suicide on the Isle of Man.
Last week, the panel heard from the health minister and director of public health.
Mrs Murray says it would make sense for the Public Health Directorate to be dealing with the topic here, as such bodies do elsewhere:
