Move could help combat obesity
Should the Isle of Man introduce a sugar tax as a way of trying to combat health issues such as obesity and diabetes?
Rushen MHK Juan Watterson wants to find out if there's the stomach for such a levy among Tynwald members.
At the December sitting, which starts today, Mr Watterson will ask them to support the principle of a sugar tax and for government to publish proposals next year.
He says it's not about going any further than that yet:
