Does the Isle of Man have a weak high street?
That’s the view of the image consultant behind the first Isle of Man State of Style Survey.
It’s been conducted by Vera Rae Image Consultancy.
More than 200 women who were surveyed rated the choice of clothing retailers on the Island at 3.5 out of 10.
It also found that eight percent of women felt their wardrobe truly reflected who they are.
The average style confidence score was 5.5 out of 10.
Founder Rebecca Hills says greater product choice alone is unlikely to solve the underlying challenges:
Away from the chain shops in Strand Street in Douglas independent clothing retailers have appeared in villages around the Island.
Linda is the owner of LS Boutique in Kirk Michael.
She says while more people are turning to these independents more should be done for the capital's high street.
So what do people think of the options in Douglas?
