
Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says he hopes to have signed a deal to buy a stake in an iconic British film studio by the end of the month.
The deal to buy up to a fifth of Pinewood Shepperton Studios will cost the government tens of millions of pounds.
Mr Teare’s come under intense criticism by backbench MHKs over the deal, but says it points the way ahead for the Island’s film industry.
He says negotiations are still ongoing – but a deal should be inked soon.
