Schools in the Isle of Man will reopen tomorrow (Tuesday), after today's closure because of the ice and snow.
The Department of Education and Children confirmed this afternoon that students would be returning to the classrooms, although some school bus services may be restricted.
There is also a risk of hail, sleet and snow showers for a time tonight, and parents are being asked to take care when dropping children off, as some car parks won't have been gritted.
Education Minister Eddie Teare explained the position, this afternoon (play audio file):
The Pre School Assessment Centre and the Isle of Man College will be open as normal on Tuesday, as will King William's College and the Buchan School.
But the decisions to reopen are based on the current weather forecast, and both the Department of Education and Children and the principal of King William's College are making it clear the situation will be reassessed if there is a marked deterioration in conditions overnight.
