Government aims to try and help reunite students with belongings
Government wants to hear from students who've been forced to leave their possessions at universities and colleges in the UK because of the pandemic.
The plea comes after government received a number of enquiries from individuals who returned to the Island before border restrictions were introduced and are now unable to collect belongings.
Minister for Education, Sport and Culture, Dr Alex Allinson MHK, says: ‘We fully understand the concerns and frustration of our students who are separated from their belongings and ask anyone in this position to get in touch so we can assess the extent of the problem and consider what help can be provided.’
If you need help boxing and storing your belongings or having them shipped back to the Island, you're asked to email your details and the university you attend to julie.keeble@gov.im this week.
