Leaving home not always the easy option
More young people are becoming aware of the issue of homelessness, after a recent presentation by a local support group.
Having already engaged with more than 1,500 pupils on the problem, Housing Matters recently delivered its Peer Education Programme to 400 St Ninians students.
The talk was presented by Katie Farrall, the Programme Coordinator for PEP, and aimed to dispel myths about homelessness and enlighten young people on the realities of living independently, to help them make informed decisions in their home life.
The charity wants to get the message across to young people that though leaving home may sound like fun, it is not always the easy option.
