Joel Baltazar worked as a nurse at Nobles Hospital
An Isle of Man resident wants to empower others who have suffered a stroke to not to stop living their life.
May marked Stroke Awareness Month and Joel Baltazar is proving that he can still navigate through life with his difficulties.
The Filipino worked as a nurse at Nobles Hospital but in 2013 suffered a stroke, which left the right side of his body paralysed.
He is also unable to communicate due to aphasia.
But that doesn't stop Joel from still volunteering at the hospital or living independently.
