Lack of resources and money in DHSC prevented progress
There's a plan in the pipeline to improve service provision for anxiety sufferers.
That's according to the Island's clinical lead for Mental Health Dr John Snelling.
Currently, people with anxiety need to see a GP before being referred to their Community Mental Health team - who grade the level of anxiety to find a solution.
Resources and a lack of money in the Department of Health and Social Care is blamed for it not being on par, but Dr Snelling says a strategy is being formulated to improve it:
