Tynwald has unanimously backed a five-year strategy aimed at ensuring Island children have the best possible opportunities in life.
The Strategy for Children and Young People (2015-2020) focuses on young people from birth through to the age of 18.
Education Minister Tim Crookall said it would provide a framework for the development of children’s services in the Island and address key points raised during an independent review by the Scottish Care Inspectorate in 2013.
That called for earlier intervention to help those in need and improved support for children with complex needs.
