Paul Roberts guest for fest
Manx musicians will have to impress a rock hero at this year's Guild in April.
Organisers of the 2018 Manx Music, Speech and Dance Festival have announced Paul Roberts - former frontman of The Stranglers - will be a guest judge at the competition's Battle of the Bands night.
Now in its third year, the class is proving increasingly popular with a younger generation of entrants.
Paul toured with the 'Golden Brown' hitmakers during the 1990s, and has since forged a successful career as a singer and actor in the West End.
Entries for the Guild, which takes place 20-28 April, are open until 3 February.
