Storm Éowyn: Gusts up to 91mph recorded 

A red weather warning is in place until 2pm today

Gusts in excess of 90mph have already been recorded in the south of the Island as Storm Éowyn batters the Isle of Man.

It's expected to make landfall in the Isle of Skye in the coming hours.  

A red weather warning is in place until 2pm today. 

People are urged to stay at home and only travel if it's absolutely necessary. 

Forecaster Stuart Davison says it's the first red warning since 2018: 

It's expected the storm will hit its peak in the next few hours.
