Stores remain well stocked despite storms

Shops in Douglas have been busy with last minute shoppers - or those looking for early bargains.

Despite the cancellation of recent sailings due to the high winds, major stores on the Island aren't reporting any problems.

Section manager in the food section at Marks and Spencer, Oliver Cheshire, says today's stormy weather hasn't caused them major difficulties  . . .

Meanwhile, Shoprite says all their stores are well stocked and Chief Executive Andrew Thomas has paid tribute to the work done by their staff to keep shelves stocked.
