Firm to provide greater assistance for special needs
The Steam Packet says a new fleet of vehicles will smoothen up its freight operations.
More than £200,000 has been spent by the firm on a new fleet to assist shoreside operations.
They include a tractor for trailers, and two minibuses for passengers requiring special assistance.
The purchases also resulted in an unexpected charitable donation.
During a sales visit, managers from heavy vehicle manufacturer Terberg were impressed after hearing about the Steam Packet-supported Rob Vine Fund - and left having given £500 to help injured riders.
