Steam Packet sailings to the United Kingdom this weekend SHOULD go ahead as scheduled - but services to northern Ireland have been cancelled.
That's because of the accident at Liverpool yesterday - when the Viking fast craft was damaged on the pontoon, after being knocked by a strong gust of wind.
Sister ship the Snaefell has been taken OFF the Belfast sailings to replace Viking on the much busier Douglas-Liverpool route.
Steam Packet Chief Executive Mark Woodward says it's not ideal - but this way more passengers will be able to travel:
Person suffers 'significant injuries' in 'serious assault' near Peel
Business case for horse trams to be put before Tynwald in July
Plans to turn 'underused space' in central Douglas into wellness retreat
