Kate Beecroft adamant over Packet deal
An MHK maintains government could have got a better deal for the Steam Packet.
Kate Beecroft was the only member of Tynwald to vote against a public takeover of the company this week.
She hit out at Treasury for not giving her and colleagues enough time to deliberate over the deal.
Government will now formally purchase the operator from Portuguese parent company Banco Espirito Santo for £124 million.
But Kate Beecroft believes the figure may be too high.
