Renewable power will be in the spotlight at Energy Expo 2011, which is getting under way today (Friday).
The two-day exhibition at the Isle of Man College encourages energy efficiency, as well as promoting local produce.
As well as the many stands covering issues relating to renewable energy, there will be a presentation on plans for a wind farm off the south east coast of the Isle of Man, and the opportunities it could provide to local businesses.
Senior manager for energy policy at the Department of Economic Development Dr Ken Milne says the project would be good news for Manx firms (play audio file):
The event runs between 12 noon and 5pm today (Friday) and between 10am and 4pm tomorrow.
There is a free shuttle bus from Douglas town centre.
