Manx Gas MD pledges support for vulnerable

Manx Gas’ controversial standing charge regime is being reviewed with the priority of protecting the vulnerable.

That is the promise from the company’s new managing director.

Ian Plenderleith has been in post for nearly three months after a spell as the chief executive of Estonia’s only privatised water company.

He says he’s well aware of local protests before his arrival and insists Island customers will be listened to.
