An open day in Douglas later will see the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure try to recruit bus drivers in the face of a 12-day strike.
The department hopes the event will attract stand-in drivers who can work during the TT period after the bus drivers’ union announced it was staging a walkout during the festival.
Anyone with a valid PPV licence who’s willing to work during the strike can take it to the Villa Marina between 2pm and 8pm to register.
