Stalwart of Peel high street to close

Simpsons has been on Michael Street for nearly 20 years

A stalwart of Peel high street is closing its doors.

Simpsons first opened in Michael Street in 2005, before moving a few doors down into a larger premises in 2015.

Its owner Stuart Hardingham has announced the hardware store is having a closing down sale ahead of his retirement.

It's not yet known when the shop will shut for the final time.
