Training pool will be closed on Monday
The main swimming pool at the National Sports Centre will be closed tomorrow (3 March) to allow specialists to investigate damage to tiles.
Two lanes have been closed since November 2023 due to an undiagnosed fault on the pool floor.
It will be shut between 11.30am and 4pm.
The closure will not affect school swimming lessons and the pool will reopen in time for public swimming lessons at 4pm.
Education, Sport and Culture Minister Daphne Caine said: "We understand this may be frustrating but it's essential to identify the root cause before repairs are made – to avoid it happening again.
"Thank you to pool users for their patience and understanding.”
Further updates will be shared once investigations are complete.
The leisure pool will remain open as usual.
