New project to get youngsters into orbit
Space was the place at Castle Rushen High School last night.
A new 'learning journey' for students was officially launched, as a space capsule belonging to Excalibur Almaz and various other pieces of space equipment - including a suit worn during missions to the International Space Station - went on display.
It's hoped the objects, along with plenty of informational literature and hands on exhibits, will help inspire students to take an interest in science and technology - and maybe even a career in the space industry.
Excalibur Almaz is based on the Island, with offices in both the US and Russia.
