DESC Minister Daphne Caine says maintenance is organised by pool board
The Education, Sport and Culture Minister says the Southern Swimming Pool was granted £45,000 pounds to carry out 'remedial' work to the building.
In response to a question in Tynwald yesterday (18 November), Minister Daphne Caine confirmed that the pool board is responsible for the maintenance and scheduling of these works.
The pool was closed during the October half term whilst repairs were made to the automatic doors at the main entrance and damaged wall tiles in changing rooms, amongst others.
Mrs Caine says the board takes into consideration those who use the pool when making necessary closures:
