A new head teacher has been appointed for Castle Rushen High School.
Andrew Cole has been deputy head at Ramsey Grammar School for the past seven years.
He will succeed Maria Tomaszewska, who resigned this term after a period of suspension.
Andrew Cole trained at the University of Sheffield, and held a number of posts in a large south Yorkshire comprehensive school before moving to the Isle of Man.
The Department of Education says he will spend time at Castle Rushen from the start of the autumn term working with acting head John Binns, and expects to take up the post full time in November.
