A charitable schoolgirl from Douglas is hoping to swim the length of the TT course in less than 12 weeks.
That's a total of 2,416 lengths of the Western Swimming Pool, where Sorcha Osborne, 11, has already started the challenge.
Sorcha, who is a St John's Ambulance cadet, plans to swim at least 220 lengths every week while continuing her involvement in other activities like horse riding, off-road motorcycling, Manx dancing and playing the clarinet.

Sorcha and her mother Lynda, who is county executive officer for St John Ambulance in the Isle of Man, told Natasha Carter the challenge is tiring but exciting at the same time:
