'World's largest unofficial T-rex run' heads west

Hundreds of people are being invited to dash across Peel promenade later this summer...dressed as dinosaurs.

The organisers of the 'world's largest unofficial T-rex run', which took place on Douglas promenade last year, have announced they're taking the event out west.

The brainchild of Expedition Limitless, 'T-Fest' will get underway on Saturday 30 August, aiming to raise £200,000 in support of The Children’s Centre and Rebecca House Children’s Hospice.

Team Leader Martin Malone says there'll be something for all the family on the day - and it'll go beyond just a fun run:

Alongside the dino-dash event, there’ll be the Isle of Man Wheelie Championships, food vendors, stalls, games, and a special guest set from 'DJ Trex'.

That will also take place on Saturday, 30 August, getting underway at midday.

Entries are open now and you can sign up HERE.

Later this year, Martin will be taking on a 24-hour swim at St Andrews Lakes in Kent in aid of the two local charities.

He'll be swimming on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 September.

You can hear more from Martin about T-Fest, and that major swimming challenge, in our latest Newscast, available now.
