Thomas Tuchel's side to face-off against co-hosts at 1am

Some pubs on the Island will be staying open later than usual this evening (5 July) ahead of England’s latest game in the World Cup.

They are set to face Mexico in the last-16 tie.

Fans are flooding into Mexico City ahead of tonight's kick-off with the co-host nation.

The England team's hotel is being guarded by riot police, there’s a 90 per cent chance of thunderstorms during the match, and they’re having to cope with altitude at the Azteca Stadium.

The tie will get underway at 1am UK time, and as a result, several Island pubs won't close their doors.

Jaks, the Front Porch, the Railway Inn and the Heron are amongst locations to have confirmed later opening hours.
