
The Department of Social Care is losing its director of Social Services today.
Andrew Swithinbank has been in government for eight years, serving as the Social Services Division's director for the last four.
He officially retires at the end of the month, but he leaves the office today to take up some owed holiday.
Although he's no longer in the department, he says he's keen to explore other avenues with voluntary organisations.
Mr Swithinbank told Manx Radio his fondest memory:
