A chief inspector from the West Midlands is talking to Manx officers today about the use of social networking sites.
Mark Payne has been addressing a meeting of the Social Media Club, with the aim of helping members of the local force communicate with the public.
Chief Inspector Payne set up the West Midlands' aptly named 'Plodcast' in 2006, which now attracts more than 20,000 listeners.
Police in the Isle of Man recently set up a facebook page to improve interaction with the community.
