Broadcasters in the Isle of Man are being told they should be careful how they use social media during the general election.
The rise of services such as Twitter, YouTube and Facebook has led to a revolution in the way people communicate, and many news outlets have taken to using them to reach a larger audience.
The output of Manx broadcasters is strictly controlled during elections to ensure impartiality.
However, director of the Communications Commission Dr Carmel McLaughlin says those rules don't apply to the internet:
