Social housing review overdue says minister

The Social Care Minister says a review of local authority housing is long overdue.

From April, all new tenancies will be reviewed every two years - to ensure those who live in public sector homes still need them.

It’s a sea change from the current system where once awarded, people living in commissioners or council homes can stay there indefinitely.
