Road conditions are described as 'treacherous' as people head home this evening.
There has been snowfall in various areas around the Island, which is causing problems especially on higher ground.
Motorists need to be particularly careful around Windy Corner on the Mountain and at the Round Table.
There will be further wintry showers this evening, with snow flurries and falling temperatures.
Department of Transport gritters are pre-salting the main routes, to deal with any ice 'black spots.'
However, there are likely to be icy stretches on untreated roads.
Meanwhile, there was an accident in St Mark's which blocked the carriageway in both directions.
Emergency services were at the scene, at Black Hill.
There are no details about what happened, but there are no reports of any injuries.
