Treasury minister says no negative impact from change
A change in top level staff in Treasury has had no negative impact on the forming of the budget.
Minister for the department Alfred Cannan says there's been a smooth transition, as Caldric Randall has taken the post as the new chief financial officer.
Mr Randall is a fellow of the Assocation of the Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
He takes over from Sheila Lowe after working in government for ten years.
He told Manx Radio his main priority was to help deliver Mr Cannan's budget for 2019/20.
Mr Cannan says Mr Randall's previous experience in the department has been invaluable: (play audio)
The budget is to be announced by the treasury minister on Tuesday, 19 Feb.
