Students and staff at Ballakermeen High School have an extra long day today (Friday).
Twenty-six sixth formers and five members of staff will be sleeping rough in the school grounds, to highlight the problem of homelessness in the Isle of Man.
Each student will spend a substantial part of the night outdoors, with just a sleeping bag and some cardboard for protection from the elements.
A soup kitchen will be available in the early evening to prepare the youngsters for their night in the cold, and it's all to raise money for Manx homeless charity Kemmyrk .
