Follows confirmation of £30million new dock
Mayor of Liverpool, Joe Anderson, says the Island 'plays itself down'.
He was speaking on Mandate this morning, following confirmation of a new £30 million ferry terminal for the Steam Packet at Princes Half Tide Dock.
Mr Anderson says the Island remains an important partner for Liverpool but said it's not clear what will happen between the closure of the current terminal at the end of 2019, and the proposed opening of the new terminal in 2021:
