Route shut until further notice
The discovery of what's being described as a 'sinkhole' in the main footpath at the Chasms has forced the closure of the route until further notice.
Manx National Heritage says it's currently about two metres deep, but it's thought the hole could become much deeper.
Anyone walking in the area will need to use an alternative route.
MNH says structural surveys will now be undertaken, prior to a decision on how to restore access to the route.
