One of the major events of the Manx farming calendar begins today (Friday).
The Royal Manx Agricultural Show takes place over the next two days at the usual venue, Staward Farm in Sulby.
As well as the traditional farming-related competitions, there are many others for activities as diverse as cookery, arts and crafts, and even scarecrow making for the children!
There's also some spectacular entertainment on offer, including axe racing!
President of the Royal Manx for 2010, John Teare, says it's been a challenge to get everything together, but a very rewarding one:
Warning over flare disposal after amenity site fire
Suspended sentence for 56-year-old in cannabis supply case
Owner of a block of flats fined for failing to meet fire safety regulations
