MHK's motion calls for issue to be investigated
An MHK wants Tynwald to investigate whether the lower minimum wage for 16- and 17-year-olds should be removed.
Clare Bettison's motion calls for the Council of Ministers to work with the Minimum Wage Committee on delivering one adult minimum wage.
From October, those aged 16 and 17 will be entitled to £6.15 an hour, less than 75% of the equivalent for over 18s.
Miss Bettison says there are also other issues facing those under 18 who earn minimum wage:
