Residents asked whether three local authorities should become one
Garff residents are being asked for their views on the possible amalgamation of three Island local authorities.
It follows a meeting this week in which proposals to merge Laxey, Lonan and Maughold Commissioners, into a single Garff Authority, were mooted.
The meeting, chaired by MHK for the area Steven Rodan, was attended by more than 80 residents.
A letter has been sent to ratepayers about what is hoped will be a cost-effective move.
Views should be sent to directly to the offices of the three authorities or by e-mailing laxeycommissioners@manx.net by October the 23rd.
