Proposals part of wide-ranging new laws
The Department of Infrastructure is asking for the public’s views on lowering the legal alcohol limit for driving.
Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says the proposals, to lower the limit from 80 to 50 milligrams per 100 millilitres of blood, would bring the Island in line with Scotland.
It’s one of a number of issues tackled by a new bill – which would also see penalties increase for speeding.
