But DHSC minister confirms recruitment freeze has been lifted
The Isle of Man has a shortage of foster carers but work is underway to recruit more.
The health and social care minister has confirmed that a recruitment freeze – which has been in place for four years – has now been lifted.
There are currently 29 mainstream foster carers who look after children who are unable to live with their birth parents and families; in 2018 there were 36.
