Ship leaves Ukrainian port after being trapped since February last year

A ship which has left the Ukrainian port of Odessa after being trapped there since February last year, is part owned by Bernhard Schulte Ship Management, a company with a base in the Isle of Man.

The Hong Kong flagged vessel, Joseph Schulte, has sailed for Istanbul with more than 30,000 tonnes of cargo including food.

It's the first to take advantage of a humanitarian corridor in the Black Sea announced by Ukraine, despite fears it could become a target for Russia, which hasn't said it will respect the corridor.
